:: About
Anton`s Timbershow
is a Canadian style logging show with some modern
chain saw techniques added . The blue and red team are
competing in wood chopping , crosscut sawing, speed
climbing, log rolling, axe throwing and chain
sawing. The main thing is to take care of the old logging
tradition in the woods and to show this to people in
a entertaining way. Anton`s Timbershow is recomended
of
North
American Lumberjack Guide.
Anton`s Timbershow (ATS) are located in Norway near
Tønsberg and are doing timbershows all over Europe.
Olav Antonsen (Anton) is educated as a forest engineer
and worked for years as a logger in the woods.
Many of those years was also the work to be instructor
for other loggers. Anton was on the national team in
the world championships |

for chain sawing 10
years and there he met the Canadian team. One of the
members Bryan Couture invited him to Canada and
there he went first time in 1984. After that he turned
over to the Canadian style of loggers competition. Since
that year he has been back in Canada almost every
year competing in the loggers sports. Based on the shows
that Bryan is running in Canada Anton started this up
in Norway. The idea is to show people how trees was
cut in the old days with axes and crosscut saws and
add on some modern chain saw techniques. During
the years Anton has developed some trilling chain saw
tricks, and the collection of racing saws are
impressive. The chain saw competitions has resulted
in 3 Norwegian championship, a world championship
in limbing and a world championship in tree falling
in Canada. But the secret for the shows success is how
the duels with the axes and saws are made. Some great
skills are mixed with some humour and good fun. A special
thing is that this is a show for the hole family.
Even in countries like Polen where ATS has had
a lot of shows has been a great success even without
that people understand all the comments
we are doing in the show.
